RMR Sand & Aggregates turns construction and excavation waste from across South Wales into washed sand, clean drainage stone, Type 1 and engineered soils — delivered by its own tipper fleet.
From a permitted yard on the edge of Pen-y-Fan Country Park near Blackwood, RMR receives soils and hardcore from construction sites across South Wales, then screens, crushes and washes them through a Matec wash plant with fines recovery and a filter press.
The result is recycled product sold ‘between virgin and standard recycled’ — washed sharp sand, 10, 20 and 40 mm drainage stone, certified Type 1 sub-base and bio-retention soil for sustainable drainage. Its Volvo FMX tippers deliver product and return with waste, so trucks rarely run empty.
RMR anchors the group’s South West & Wales cluster alongside Quickskip, extending the group’s aggregates capability and haulage reach — and its washing volumes connect to the group’s wider soil-washing network.
